Swing Style Clamp Carrier
?
The Swing Style Clamp Carrier is designed for the small and medium shop. Our simple design is easy to use and has the power to handle the big jobs. Like the Semi-Automatic systems, it can be used on frames up to 20-1/2' wide. This system is available with pneumatic power only.
Production:
Because this system is used on smaller machines, production ranges from 100-400 panels per day depending on size.
Typical end users:
Custom Cabinet
Door Shop
Architectural Moulding and Millwork
Custom Stair Components
Smaller Furniture Manufacturer
Specifications:
Semi-Automatic Clamp Carrier
?
The Classic Clamp Carrier is our most versatile line of clamp carriers. Sizes range from 6 to 80 sections with widths up to 20-1/2' (6M) wide. Most machines are equipped with Hydraulic or Pneumatic Air Motor Drive for rotation, Clamp Tightener and Panel Flattener. The smaller machines work well with the Plate Spreader (manual glue applicator). As with all Taylor Clamp Carriers, smaller machines can be expanded as production requirements grow. The Classic Clamp Carrier is an ideal clamping system when a wide variety of products are to be glued.
Production
Production is based on cycle time and panel size. Assuming that each section is curing 3 panels whose dimensions are 24" x 24" (60cm x 60cm) and assuming a cycle time of 2 minutes, production per
shift equals:
One
Panel:
=4 ft2 (.36M2)
One
Section:
=12 ft2 (1.1M2)
One
Cycle:
=2 minutes
=30 cycles/hour
=210 cycles/shift
Production output:
=12 ft2 x 210 cycles or 2520 ft2/shift
=1.1 M2 x 210 cycles or 231 M2/shift
Automated Clamp Carrier
?
The Automated Clamp Carrier woodworking clamps system is the industry standard for high production edge gluing. Sizes range from 20 to 80 sections with widths up to 16-1/2' (5 M) wide. The Automated machine doubles operator productivity with its automatic cycle which tightens the clamps on new stock, rotates the machine, and loosens the clamps on panels to be removed. This allows the operator to spend 100% of their time preparing and loading stock. It also reduces operator effort and paces the overall production. As with all Taylor Clamp Carriers, smaller machines can be expanded as production requirements grow.
Production
Production is based on cycle time and panel size. Assuming that each section is curing 3 panels whose dimensions are 24" x 24" (60cm x 60cm) and assuming a cycle time of 90 seconds, production per
shift equals:
One
Panel:
=4 ft2 (.36M2)
One
Section:
=12 ft2 (1.1M2)
One
Cycle:
=90 seconds
=40 cycles/hour
=320 cycles/shift
Production output:
=12 ft2 x 320 cycles or 3840 ft2/shift
=1.1 M2 x 320 cycles or 352 M2/shift
?
The Automated
Clamp Carrier wood working clamps system is the industry standard for high production edge gluing. The Automated machine doubles operator productivity with its automatic cycle which tightens the
clamps on new wood stock, rotates the machine, and loosens the clamps on wood panels to be removed. This allows the operator to spend 100% of their time preparing and loading stock.
Taylor's Super Automated Clamp Carrier design increases the productivity of the machine by 20% without any change in operation or additional floor space. The industrial wood clamps machine has a
separate loosening station above the operator which loosens the wood clamps one row before the panels are removed from the machine. This shortens the cycle time of the machine by 15 seconds which
equates to one extra hour of production per shift. The technology used to do this is from our Dual Automated wood clamp machine where we have dozens of machines in operation in factories across the
U.S.
Production?
Production is based on cycle time and panel size. Assuming that each section is curing 3 panels whose dimensions are 24" x 24" (60cm x 60cm) and assuming a cycle time of 75 seconds, production per
shift equals:
One
Panel:
=4 ft^2 (.36 m^2)
One
Section:
=12 ft^2 (1.1 m^2)
One
Cycle:
=75 seconds
=48 cycles/hour
=384 cycles/shift
Production output:
=12 ft^2 x 320 cycles or 4608 ft^2/shift
=1.1 m^2 x 320 cycles or 422 m^2/shift
Dual Automated Clamp Carrier
?
?
The Dual Automated Clamp Carrier is the world's highest production room temperature edge gluing machine. Loosening of the wood clamps, loading of the wood stock and tightening of the wood clamps all take place simultaneously. On the Automated Clamp Carrier, the clamp operator(s) wait for the Carrier to finish tightening, indexing to the next section. On the Dual Automated Clamp Carrier, as soon as the operator(s) finish loading the Carrier, they only needs to wait a few short seconds for the Carrier to index before beginning to unload the cured wood panels. The wood clamp loosener on the section above the operator loosens the woodworking clamps and the Clamp Tightener/Panel Flattener below the operator flattens the panels and tightens the clamps all while the operator simply unloads and reloads the Carrier. The great advantage of the Dual Automated Clamp Carrier is that operator(s) are spending 100% of their time loading and unloading material. This equates to maximum productivity.
Production
Production is based on cycle time and panel size. Assuming that each section is curing 3 panels whose dimensions are 24" x 24" (60cm x 60cm) and assuming a cycle time of 50 seconds, production per
shift equals:
One
Panel:
=4 ft2 (.36M2)
One
Section:?
=12 ft2 (1.1M2)
One
Cycle:
=50 seconds
=72 cycles/hour
=576 cycles/shift
Production output:
=12 ft2 x 576 cycles or 6912 ft2/shift
=1.1 M2 x 576 cycles or 634 M2/shift
